History
American Appraisal is the founder of the appraisal profession in the United States in 1896 - the forerunner in the valuation profession. Today more than 120 years later American Appraisal professionals continue to lead the appraisal profession through chairmanship or significant participation in many of the profession’s governing bodies.
On February 2015, American Appraisal Associates Inc. was acquired by Duff & Phelps a leading global financial advisory firm and it's currently operating as a division of the Company. Duff & Phelps is a global valuation and corporate finance advisor with expertise in complex valuation, dispute and legal management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, compliance and regulatory consulting.
American Appraisal has a presence in Greece since 1990. The local entity American Appraisal (Hellas) Limited, which was established in 1998 as a subsidiary company of American Appraisal Associates, serves Greece, Cyprus and other Balkan countries, providing high quality valuation services.
